Posts There aren’t any pre-WW2 Weaver sniper scopes. Note its divided in two sections. In the front is a description of the scopes by manufacturer and in the back a section on the mounts. The Weaver mount section also includes reproduction of some old catalog pages which have a lot of intersting scope data. Another possible source of information on the commercial Weaver line is: Weavers entry into the sniper scope business basically started with WW2. The Weaver and scopes were evaluated along with about 20 other types by the Marines.
If you look at all the Weaver or Weaver C type scopes used on the A4 there are probably 8 or 9 major and minor variations mainly markings and different adjustment knobs. During WW2 Weaver also supplied M73B1’s or similar style scopes to the navy for use on aligning firecontrol radars or as gun sights. A really complete organized history of the Weaver line still eludes us.

Sun Dec 05, 1: I couldn’t find any listed there with a side mount, but maybe there is something listed on GB or AA. I am reasonably sure it came from the Weaver factory with the side mount, as there is virtually no way it could have been attached later. Short of bending or cutting the mount, I don’t think there is a way to remove the scope. However, the box says nothing about it having a mount attached. I went way back in my collection of early Gun Digests, and couldn’t find anything one way or the other about Weaver side mounts being supplied with scopes, or, for that matter, much else beside dimensions.

Genetically-enhanced to be the ultimate soldiers of Mankind , they are far stronger and more resilient than ordinary human beings. Space Marines are organised into roughly a thousand Chapters , with each Chapter numbering approximately warriors organised into ten companies of troops each. Every Chapter is fiercely proud of its history and achievements, and each one has its own distinctive colours and heraldic markings.
All of the wargear of the Space Marines is painstakingly maintained, and many items are covered in lines of intricately rendered devotional script in High Gothic , each line detailing a battle honour won in a glorious campaign. A Space Marine is a towering warrior, his brute strength tempered by inhuman skill. He is armed with the fearsome Bolter , a blessed weapon that fires devastating, mass-reactive shells that explode within the flesh of the target.
He is protected by a suit of Power Armour , shielding him from the fiercest of enemy fire whilst simultaneously strengthening his blows and allowing him to survive the most hostile of environments. He is the product of intensive training and genetic manipulation, which transforms mortal men selected from the deadliest warrior races in the known galaxy into the most lethal of superhuman killing machines in Mankind ‘s arsenal.
The Thunder Warriors An ancient picture of a Thunder Warrior during the Unification Wars era The Space Marines can trace their origins back to the Unification Wars on Terra in the late 30th Millennium, when the Emperor of Mankind first revealed his existence and lead regiments of deadly genetically-engineered soldiers known as Thunder Warriors in a great campaign to unite all of the myriad techno-barbarian tribes and nation-states of Terra under his rule.
From the outset of his retaking of Terra, the Emperor employed genetically modified warriors within his forces and in these early enhanced troops lay the origins of what would later become the Space Marine Legions. During the Age of Strife , known as “Old Night” on Terra, the cradle of Mankind had seen more than its fair share of augments and “super” soldiers created both from bio-alchemy and cybernetic augmentation.

On the day he was killed, in a shooting police say had no apparent motive, he played a round of disc golf at a course in Fairmount Park. The same suspect is believed to have unloaded a barrage of shots less than an hour earlier in Overbrook, though no one was injured there. Le had been scheduled to play in a tennis match nearby but it was postponed due to the weather, the police said. At the Le household in Narberth, a gray fieldstone house with lights strung along the gutters and a miniature crucifix affixed atop the door, an older man who came to the door Monday declined to comment.
Minutes later the door reopened and a woman posted a sign that read: We appreciate you respecting our privacy.
