In order to maintain the surprise, we told her we were going camping. She just assumed we were camping in Michigan, but instead we drove all the way down to Florida to camp at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground! We encountered some interesting obstacles in tent camping at Fort Wilderness, so we thought we’d pass along our experiences and tips to you! We always fly — it’s just too far from Michigan. The carriage ride really adds to the experience and keeps you off your feet for around a half hour. The campsite is large, but set up in an efficient manner. The campsites are scattered across 20 loops. Most sites are fairly secluded by a generous amount of bushes and trees.

I’ve been looking forward to a stopover here in West Palm Beach, but the temperature has been in the forties since we arrived, and we only ventured ashore once, for dinner last night. Friday night found us anchored just upstream of the St. Lucie Lock and Dam map , across from the very familiar Corps of Engineers campground and docks.
The docks are inexpensive and include power, but Vector exceeds the length limit. It was a quiet night. CoE campground, where we stayed more than once in Odyssey, and docks, as seen from our anchorage.
